If you would like to generate revenue from your content, Premium Rate SMS is exactly what you're looking for. At OneSixty, you have access to the following charges: 12p, 25p, 50p, £1.00, £1.50, £3.00 and £5.00.

In order to send Premium Rate text messages, you must first purchase a keyword. Once you've purchased a keyword, you will need to assign a Premium Rate charge to it - you can choose any amount from the list above. At the same time, you will need to complete a Service Description which will need to be approved by us and sent to PhonepayPlus - typically done the same day.

Once approved, anyone that sends a text message to your Premium Rate keyword will be billed the assigned charge via a Premium Rate text message auto-reply.

Auto-replies

Within the OneSixty Control Panel, you can set up to 2 auto-replies (per keyword and sub keyword) to any incoming messages. Typically, the first auto-reply would be a Premium Rate text message that charges the sender and the second auto-reply would be a WAP Push SMS that delivers the content (a ringtone, wallpaper, application, etc).

The number of auto-replies you can send each day is unlimited. However, if you are planning a big campaign please let us know in advance so we can make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

Subscription services

If you run a Premium Rate Subscription Service (football results, horse racing tips, etc) it is likely that you will need to send regular Premium Rate text messages. This type of service is more strict in terms of knowing the guidelines that need to be adhered to.

For example, once a month, or every time a user has spent £20 if that occurs in less than a month, you must send them a free text message containing details on how to opt-out and your contact details amongst other important information relating to the service.

To send regular Premium Rate text messages, you can do so via the OneSixty Control Panel or the OneSixty API. We will impose a Daily Sending Limit on your account according to your Service Description and sending needs. By default, your Daily Sending Limit is zero (auto-replies are still unlimited). Daily Sending Limits can be reviewed as often as you like.

Out-payments

When you send a Premium Rate text message you will only receive a percentage of the charge. This is what is known as an out-payment. For example, if you send a £1.50 Premium Rate text message you will receive an out-payment of 88p - the mobile network operators take the rest.

Payments can take up to 60 days to show in your OneSixty account - which is the industry standard. Our out-payments are better than most of our competitors and we're one of the very few that can offer you the same out-payment from all mobile network operators.

50p	You receive an out-payment of 25p
£1.00	You receive an out-payment of 57p
£1.50	You receive an out-payment of 88p

£5.00	You receive an out-payment of £3.13 from Vodafone and £3.18 from all other mobile network operators
